History of the Law of Attraction.

By Stan J. Tonoski, Executive Coach

How old is the Law of Attraction? When did the law of attraction start? It started with the creation of the universe and the creation of thought. The challenging question is, when did mankind first become aware of the law of attraction? The answer to that is unknown, although there is evidence to suggest that in recent history people knew about the law of attraction, at least six or 7000 years ago. Although it is unclear as to how long ago the phrase “Law of Attraction” was first coined, there are early references to the Law of Attraction being in action. Buddha said “All that we are is the result of what we have thought." Buddha truly understood the law of attraction. This is a powerful statement.

Not only do we create the material things in our lives by what we think, we also create ourselves. In the King James version of the Bible we see that Job may not have fully understood the workings of the love attraction, however like many people today he suffered the consequences of the law by not using it for his good. In Job 3: 25, it reads “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” How many of us are creating what we do not desire in life? How many of us are setting ourselves up as victims because we do not understand or are not consciously using the Law?  ....read more of this article

Are you Taking Accountability for What You're Attracting?

By Michael Losier

Even the very word accountability can make the hair stand up on the back of your neck!

Often the word accountability is used in a scolding manner such as “You’re not very accountable!” As a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner, I’ve learned about the impact of words and I particularly like reframing a words meaning. By reframing I mean to look at a word and its meaning from a different point of view. Consider the following reframe of the word accountability.

The word accountability has two words buried within it – the word account and the word ability. Here is a different definition for the word accountability -

“Accountability: my ability to account for why I’m attracting what I’m attracting”.....read more of this articl

Power of our Thoughts

By Maria Moratto

Spiritual currents, from the oldest to the newest, all agree that affirmations or mantras are, perhaps, the best ways for a person to keep the mind busy doing something that is good and positive.

We have thoughts that come and go at the speed of  light. Each day we have thousands of them speeding in and out and around and around, like a car race.  When we pay attention to them we realize that sometimes, we have great arguments with people; sometimes we criticize ourselves ....read more of this article

The Law Of Attraction Doesn't Understand Don't Not or No

Have you ever wondered why sometimes we get something that we really didn't want in our lives? People often tell me, "I didn't ask for THAT!"

In fact, some people think that the Law of Attraction 'isn't working for me' when they attract something they didn't want into their life--but it is. You see, the Law of Attraction doesn't hear the words 'don't, not or no' (as in,

'I don't want that.' 'That's not what I want.' 'No more of this!') it only responds to your feelings (your vibes) about that subject. If thinking about a certain situation causes you to feel upset, the Law of Attraction sends you MORE upsetting situations.

Here's a story sent to me by a reader, that demonstrates what I mean:...read more of this article

Our Deepest Fear

by Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
